RULES APPLYING TO THE COPSE POOL

Failure in adherence to any of the following criteria will result in the individual(s) being asked to leave the venue.

  1. All members are required to carry a valid BMAPS membership card, if this has not arrived yet then please show your membership confirmation email.
  1. Any non-fishing guest must be accompanied by a Member that has purchased the non fishing guest ticket. Any fishing guest must have purchased, and be in possession of a fishing guest ticket (available from the BMAPS website by the accompanying member).
  1. All anglers must be in possession of a valid EA rod licence.
  1. Members are allowed to ask other members to see their membership credentials.
  1. Fishing only permitted Dawn to Dusk. No night fishing allowed (except on Charity events or Matches).
  1. Platformed Swims 1-4 (marked on the map) are always Prioritised for Coaching sessions, OAP & Disabled Members. If asked to move please do so.
  1. Junior & Minor Members must be accompanied by an Adult Member at all times.
  1. No barbed hooks. Barbless hooks only.
  1. No surface fishing.
  1. No keepnets allowed (except on official club matches).
  1. No bloodworm/joker.
  1. Anglers must possess a landing net, unhooking mat and disgorger. Pan nets are allowed.
  1. Fishing from designated pegs only – Please see NO FISHING ZONE marked on venue map.
  1. No fires.
  1. All rubbish must be removed and taken home and lake / swims left in good condition
  1. One rod/pole/whip to be used at any one time.
  1. No wading.
  1. No boats of any kind (including bait boats).
  1. No baited rods to be left unattended at any time, for any reason.
  1. Mainline to be a maximum of 10lb.
  1. No Braided Mainline.
  1. Gates to the lake must always be kept locked. Jumble the combo lock numbers after entry/exit.
  1. Any anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary being taken upon the offender(s).
  1. The fisheries closed season runs from the 21st December to the 28th/29th February.
  1. Assistance dogs only are permitted and must be kept on leads at all times. They must not be allowed to enter the water.
  1. No cycles to be ridden around the lake.
  1. All members must keep to prescribed foot paths.
  1. Radios, mobile phones or similar apparatus are permitted to be used discretely.
  1. No member shall remove or introduce any fish or spawn. No member will interfere with wildlife or damage any plants, trees, lake banks, fences/gates. No member will commit any act that may cause pollution to the water.
